Here at Cys Ci Luxury Dog Retreat, we strongly believe that the dogs left in our care should feel as relaxed and comfortable as they do at home, we go above and beyond to ensure your four-legged friends’ stay with us is a happy and enjoyable one!

As Dog owners and animal lovers ourselves, we are very aware that all dogs have different needs and therefor have different emotional, dietary, medical, and exercise requirements and so, do our utmost to make sure those individual requirements are met.

While staying at our retreat, your dog will be treated as part of the family, our staff will ensure that your dogs have company and engagement throughout the day. This includes, but is certainly not limited to, at least 2 – 3 big walks a day and daily enrichment such as the use of KONG toys, Lickimats and we will also incorporate, fun, scent-related games. All dogs will have the opportunity to socialise, play and explore daily during their stay with us.

Our staff’s priority is not only meeting your dog’s basic physical needs during their stay, but also their mental, medical, and emotional needs! Enrichment and play is of big emphasis here at Cys Ci, a tired dog, is a happy dog and if your dogs are happy, then so are we!

About Our Retreat

Cys Ci Luxury Dog Retreat is securely gated and CCTV monitored, so you can be sure in knowing that your dogs will be kept safe and secure during their stay.

Our site is set in 30 acres of stunning Ceredigion countryside. Located just a few miles from a selection of beautiful beaches such as Penbryn, Tresaith and Aberporth, Cys Ci is also surrounded by endless scenic walking spots and just a half a mile from the A487.

Outside we have approximately 4 acres of enclosed exercise fields. These fields have been sectioned into separate enclosed areas to ensure there is not only the opportunity for off-lead play and socialisation – but also a separate area for those dogs to exercise, who may be a little on the shyer side or who may be a little more anxious about being around other, new, doggy friends! In our exercise fields we have a sniff garden, a trampoline, tunnels and more fun agility games so your dog can stay thoroughly entertained during their stay with us.

Closer to the Retreat building we have a wooden shelter building, surrounded with Astroturf, which will also be enclosed – this space is for the use of all our guests, but specifically, those guests who may be a little less able, also… for those dogs who are not keen on the feeling of wet mud between their paws on cooler, wetter days!

We have an outside shower, with warm water so dogs can be rinsed down and cleaned up before coming back indoors and we do also have a full washroom, soon to be kitted out with a professional grooming bath and table for those more thorough clean-ups!

This is just the start of things to come at Cys Ci, in the near future we will have more boarding suites available and will also be offering on site, professional dog photography and photoshoot sessions, a professional grooming service, training sessions, a collection and drop off service and much more, so be sure to keep an eye on our website and social media pages for updates!
